A Different Perspective
I was chatting with a friend today and realized that I haven't posted/looked at my blog in a long time. I guess I took my "blog" for granted. Do we all take things for granted?
A friend of mine recently told me, "Swami, I have cancer". I was shocked, I didn't know what to say... She mentioned how people take health for granted until something happens. "Live life to the fullest" she said.. I will..
What to do say to a soul mate? Peace!
So, I came across this interesting quote today...
"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that's holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with your soul mate forever ? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life to reveal another layer of yourself to you and then they leave. And thank God for it "
So, you meet someone, have a great time, then it gets "painful"...Sound familar? I agree and disagree, who knows, maybe you will meet someone, and not want to "Peace!"..
by the way.. nice curls...
Peace!

Playing your chips in life
So,
This past week I learned sometimes you have to go "all-in" and see what happens. I went "all-in" and realized that things werent't as they seem... In the end, I wouldn't have traded the last 2 years of my life for anything. I lived, learned and matured as a person.
Thank you...

Hibachi Horror
A lesson learned..
Hibachis can make a great steak,
but they can also cause hate.
They are small and petite,
but can put you in immense heat.
Be weary of your little friend,
they can cause a bitter end.

Dallas - Oct 2005
Hello all,
Tori and I flew down to Texas after work on Friday.. Landed @ 10, at the bar by 11.. We definitely were troopers..
Woke up Sat. in the land of hang-over.. Ate aunthentic BBQ at Spring Creek Restaurant. Gotta love the grease covered buns.. Everything is big in Texas..
Big Dog showed up and we headed off to the Fort Worth Cattle Run.. Tori became an official cowgirl with a purchase of a decently priced cowgirl hat.. We proceeded to have dinner at, I forgot Quach, but it was great. Good timing Quach, we missed out on the 50 person wait list outside..
After a brief R&R we headed out to Fort Worth again to chill at a piano bar.. They should've called it a walk-in smoke stack.. Good times nonetheless.
Sunday, Qizach and I played some Dreamcast and Quach finally played me in some NFL Blitz 2000.. I had to put him in his place even though he complained about a faulty controller (likely story)..
Lookin' forward to seein 'y'all real soon :)
